It has a pixel image size of 720 x 486 and uses luminance and chrominance for color control. It was originally recorded at 30 fps (Frames Per Second) and later was changed to drop frame of 29.97 fps. PAL Phase Alternating Line is the format used in Europe and other countries and was adopted in 1967. It has a frame rate of 25 fps and a pixel image size of 720 x 576. PAL countries are here.
